Thoughts Of Quitting IM A Train Ride And Terrible Sight

I must admit after what feels like forever without any results in IM, I was starting to question whether I had what it takes to MMOL.

To add to this self doubt, I’m constantly reading stories in forums about 18 year olds who make $10k in a week. Then there is a disturbing amount of people commenting about how easy it is to MMOL in less than 10 days!

After a while it gets depressing reading all these posts, why?  Because I'm having a hard time even picking niche markets to get started in.

IM Frustration, Google judgement and what the Dog heard

Internet Marketing or IM or FTIMHTIT (f$#k this is much harder than I thought) as it called in my place is really sh%^ing me up the wall at the moment.

Everything, I mean everything just feels so damn hard.

I guess what’s really giving me the sh%$s is the articles I come across in the Make Money Online (MMO) niche or MMO niche forums. One notorious one is called warrior forum (go there if you’re new to IM and be prepared to see arrogance at it’s best) I see things like this “make 13,424,322.44 in 4 minutes using this system” or “MMO is so easy a 18 year old made 10k in 20 days”..... This makes me want to scream, because it’s not easy, so stop telling me it is....

The Pay Per Click Passive Income Experiment – What Not To do!

You may or may not have heard of Pay per Click advertising. But you have seen it in action hundreds of times, even if you don’t realise it!

Pay Per Click advertising is a form of advertising that places ads in the search results of Google. These ads are seen at the very top and upper right parts of the Google search results.

To place an ad is not free, we know this because Google is not poor. All of the free services that Google provides like Google maps, Gmail and Google Earth are paid for by PPC advertising.

Adding my blog to Technorati the mega blog directory

If you have the time check out Technorati one day. Technorati is a massive directory of cool blogs. I’m adding my blog there for a bit of fun.

Anyway Technorati needs to verify I run this blog.

Here you go Technorati: The following short code HDAZ5EEUGYZU verifies I am Justin owner of the great cubicle escape.

The Book That Changed The Way I Think. Forever

Last September I was lucky enough to go on 6-week European holiday. I know what a life eh.

Little did I know that this holiday would change the way I think forever. Not solely because of wonders of different cultures and glorious sites of Europe, although that was definitely a factor.

No, it changed the way I think because of a book I was reading at the time. If you live in America you’ve probably heard of it because it was a New York best seller, its called the 4 Hour Work Week.

To advertise or not to advertise that is my question!

When I talk about my blog to people I often get asked a simple question “Do I make any money from the blog”?

For those of you who have been keeping score, you’ll know the answer is a resounding NO. But it’s actually more complex than that.

I never intended the great cubicle escape to be an instant overnight million dollar website (even though it would be very cool). I actually want to use the great cubicle escape as an online diary.

This leads me to a compelling question. Can I monetise the great cubicle escape blog without annoying everyone?

Why Failing Fast Is Better Than Not Failing At All

I used to be scared of failure. I hated the thought of putting time and effort into something that ultimately might not result in the perfect outcome I want. Instead I just wouldn’t try. Hey if I didn’t try I wouldn’t fail right? I’ve since come to realise that if I don’t fail I won’t learn. Each time I fail and get upset, I’m reminded of our light bulb friend, ol’ Eddie. I love these two quotes from ol’ Eddie.

“Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” - Thomas A. Edison

My Crazy Passive Income Experiment Part 4 – The Wash-Up

So I’ll be honest. While I wasn’t expecting to escape the cubicle and make a real passive income out of something that’s only $97, I sort of expected to sell at least “something”. I haven’t, so I’m a little disappointed.

However, every cloud has a silver lining and this experiment is no exception. I’ve learnt some things I’d like to share.

My Crazy Passive Income Experiment Part 3 – The Reveal

Stop Smoking Squeeze Page

My Stop Smoking Squeeze Page

In my recent blog “My Crazy Passive Income Experiment Part 2 – The Unwrap” I wrote about what I actually got access to after I purchased a crazy passive income system. Basically I got access to the following products:

How to cure Acne
How to stop smoking
Weight Loss
Make money from Twitter

I’ll drill into the first product I decided to work on which is the “Stop Smoking” package. When I unzipped the package I found the following; a Keyword List, a Landing page, Pay Per Click (PPC) file, the actual eBook product and a Sales letter.

My Crazy Passive Income Experiment Part 2 – The Unwrap!

    The Underground Selling System

    I'm in!

In my recent blog My Crazy Passive Income Experiment Part 1 – The Purchase I wrote about how I was going to purchase a passive income system that will put me on the path to riches and allow me to escape the cubicle all by just by following a few simple steps. How could I go wrong!

I ended up purchasing a system called “Underground Selling System”. The sales pitch sounded good, the sales video was solid and I had a $100 budget so I selected this product.
